Life on Earth Art and Juvenile Justice

Winged hearts displayed on the wall of a residential juvenile justice facility.

In collaboration with Arts Unity Movement and therapist, Roberta Wentzel-Walter, Life on Earth Art offered 3-ft winged hearts for juvenile offenders as part of an art therapy program at the Margaret J. Kemp Camp youth services residential center in San Mateo. Due to Covid restrictions, the art therapist was unable to construct the hearts with the youth but instead guided a group of 13 in painting through an expressive arts process.
